CROSSFIT GAMES UPDATE: MORE DRUG SANCTIONS FOR ATHLETES

Two more athletes have been smacked with CrossFit drug penalties, and it's shaking things up a bit.

Chantelle Loehner and Lauren Herrera have both been popped for performance-enhancing drugs, and are receiving the CrossFit standard 4-year ban. Loehner has been the bigger of the two bans in terms of fall out.

As a member of CrossFit Invictus X, Invictus has lost their bid to the Games that was earned at the MACC in April. In their place, Team Misfit gets the nod, which is big games news. Misfit has been so close to getting invited in many events, to no avail.

The MisFit Team, which consists of Alexis Johnson, Jen Smith, Travis Williams, and Roy Gamboa, will have 7 days to accept their invite and finalize their roster. Important to note, Loehner also received an individual invitation via the open, which will be passed down to the next spot in line.

A little bit of sidebar comedy, Loehner was popped for oral turinabol, which is one of the oldest and most well known anabolic steroids there is. I mean, this is the stuff that Mark McGuire and Sammy Sosa were popping in the '90s. If you're gonna try and cheat, honey, at least use some science.

Don't cheat, children. Cheaters never win, and winners never cheat. In theory, at least.
