CROSSFIT GAMES UPDATE: CUTS ARE ALREADY CHANGING
We are about two weeks out from the most controversial CrossFit Games in history, and changes are already being announced.

As previously harped on, I loved the Games this year. I thought the cuts from day one kept things super interesting, keeping athletes on their toes, and adding so much viewership drama. The anti argument heard around the world, however, is two-fold. First, people believed it wasn't fair to have National champions come from all over the globe, simply to have them eliminated in one event. Second, people felt the test wasn't thorough enough before cutting people.
A bunch of cry babies if you ask me, but that's neither here nor there.
Regardless of my thoughts, they have already announced changes to the 2020 Games season, specifically regarding cuts at the start of the Games. Next year, it has been announced that all competitors will be involved for the first day and a half of competition. This is going to be tough logistically, but the Games handled all their challenges really well this year, so I am maintaining faith.

I suppose in closing, it will be nice for the champs who earned their spot to be guaranteed several workouts. However, this won't change who the winner is in the end. The fittest is the fittest, and that will never change.
