Workout of the Week - Get Loose

The day before I did the following workout, I did a fairly large and tough workout (loads of hang squat cleans). So the day of the workout, with the shoulders a bit tight and the legs being super wobbly I wanted to come up with something to move, get loose, and of course, get better at something.

After some err, extensive, warmup and stretching I was ready to tackle the following sneaky windsucking workout:

8 rounds for time

5 Strict Handstand Pushups

250m Row

15 Russian KB swings (64lb KB)

With each round being less than two minutes and the movements not having a lot of reps, it helps...or hurts...to do quick transitions and just get them done. Halfway through it was getting pretty tough but I was able to keep each round to under 2 minutes and finished at 15:08. More importantly, it did the job of getting the muscles loose and moving!

For those much more fit than I, I can see getting in the low to mid 14’s and if you keep the equipment close together you can get there. With the reps being manageable though, you should not have to have much variance in your round times unless the rowing slows down a bunch!

Good luck!
