WORKOUT OF THE WEEK: We're Walking

Don’t ask me why but I started doing something called ‘Wall Walk Sunday's. The gist of it is that on Sunday’s I do a workout that…...involves….wall...walks. Crazy right?

Four weeks into this and yes, it is crazy. If you don’t know what a wall walk is, imagine watching the worst movie you have ever seen, while upside down, can’t breathe, and the threat of falling on your face if your shoulders give out. That’s a wall walk. So last week's Wall Walk Sunday’ was:

For time:

50 wall walks

Every 2 minutes: 5 Front Squats (175/125lb)

I ended up having about 1:20-1:25 of wall walk working time and after the first round in which I “blazed” through 7 of them, it was 4-5 reps every set after that as these fried me pretty quick. My strategy was to always try to do two in a row fairly quickly before resting a little. Not only did that rest time get a little longer but the time it took to actually do a rep increased as well.

When it was all over but the crying, I did 55 front squats and it took 23:41.

If anyone has any wall walk workouts they would like to share, please let me know so that I can try it on the next ‘Wall Walk Sunday!’ Unless it is too hard, then I am going to scale it.
