CROSSFIT GAMES UPDATE: ASIA CHAMPIONSHIPS RECAP
Another week goes by, and with it another sanctional event comes to a close. Although the Asia CrossFit Championships wasn't packed wit stars of the sport, it was a big qualifier for a few really big names.
On the men's side, Brett Fikowski ran away with a victory, securing his spot at the games for the fourth straight year. He is a fan favorite, and a great personality for the sport; as a fan, I am glad to have him back.
Speaking of fan favorites, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom finally qualified for the games. The perennial contender lead by the GOAT Rich Froning Jr. struggled to qualify at first this season but turned that around with an impressive victory in China. I expect them to be pushing for a first-place spot once again at the CrossFit Games this year.
On the ladies end of the competition, Kristin Holte ran away with the competition, but having already qualified for the Games previously, the qualification spot went to second place finisher Eik Gyladottir. She has already announced she will take her bid to the Games.
Things are about to pick up, with a few sanctionals on the horizon including the highly anticipated Rogue Invitational event. Stay tuned here for all the updates, and share your thoughts below!
