#WorkoutoftheWeek 4.15.2019 - CrossFit Linchpin

Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.
— Winston Churchill

CrossFit Linchpin is one of my favorite follows on Instagram as they are always sharing cool and unique programming and fun workouts to do. You should never not have a workout handy when you are traveling or have an open day at the gym. A lot of their WODs can be brutal, but every so often I see a workout, on my rest day, that I just want to go and tackle to sweat out a little bit, and that’s why I saved this workout and wanted to share it here on the VRX blog.

Let’s get to the workout.

But first, if you ever have a workout you want to submit from your box, or something you see on social, send it over to us at: staff@voyedgerx.com and we will most definitely put it up!

WOD Credit: CrossFit Linchpin

Two Rounds for time of:

400 meter run

15 push press (95/65 lbs)

12 Toes-To-Bar

Rest five minutes and repeat

Nice and easy here! This was the perfect rest day workout for me, and I thought it was just enough to get the blood flowing and moving. I’ve been following CrossFit Linchpin on IG for a while and a lot of their workouts can be brutal, so when I say this one I was pretty intrigued and wanted to save it for a day where I just wanted to move.

Scaling options: You can do knees to elbows while hanging from the rig or do ab mat sit ups as well instead of the toes-to-bars. Keep the reps the same, and lower the push press weight if you need a break, too.

The goal should be to go unbroken here and try to go about 80-90% with the goal of getting that heart rate up and sprinting into the second round and having it be faster than the first.

Shoot them a follow, and don’t forget to submit any future #WorkoutoftheWeek blog posts to us by emailing our team at: staff@voyedgerx.com - we’re always looking for new submissions from the workouts at your boxes, so…if you’re reading this one, give us a shout!
