#WODoftheWEEK '18.Zero'

The CrossFit Open is coming, and you should be prepared to get a little bit uncomfortable in the process. It is a grueling 5-week test to find out who some of the fittest athletes around the world are while en route to the 2018 CrossFit Games.

And regardless of how you've been prepping for the Open, understand it is truly a years worth of fitness that gets rolled into these five weeks. It is not about what you do the month before, it's about every little thing you did, ate, how you slept, recovered and more all rolled into one that will dictate how you perform in the Open.

Most importantly, understand the CrossFit Open is a test to measure who the world's fittest athletes are, but it is also a way for you to test and measure yourself. You are competing against you these five weeks. Nobody else. Yes, you should always root for your fellow athletes and box members, but this is a chance for you to put your own feet to the fire and push through to be the best you can be.

That being said, let's get to the #WODoftheWEEK that comes from our very own, Sasha Preziosa of Maxability Sports & CrossFit.

#WODoftheWEEK - '18.Zero '

For Time:

21-15-9

Dumbbell Power Snatches (50, 35)

BurpeesJumping Over the Dumbbell

Gut Reaction

Woof. Doesn't look that tough on paper, but anytime there is a 21-15-9 I instantly shudder. Those short, lung-burning workouts will always get the best of you and rest assured, that is probably the case here. And if this WOD looks familiar to you, that's because it first appeared on the CrossFit Main site here, and you can find the video of the live announcement on Facebook here.

Long story short, you've got to hit this workout at 100% and don't look back. The time to rest is after this short burning workout and if you need to dial anything back, do it on the burpees, which you can pace. And if you need help on the DB power snatch, watch this video.
