#WODoftheWEEK 4.3.2017

Got a spicy one for you this week. Handstand push-ups are tough as it is, so why add a deficit? Because the range of motion in CrossFit is crucial, and if you don't have the strength to get out of the deficit, it's a clear area and need for improvement.

It's something we are constantly talking about and discussing. The need for a higher range of motion. Humans aren't meant to be sedentary creatures, we were built to move.

Anyway, as it is, this week's WOD of the week is coming to you from Lauren, who trains at who trains at CrossFit Jaarkhu.

Don't forget to post your times in the comments down below, and be sure to watch the videos on how to properly perform the deficit handstand pushup. Oh, also....front rack lunges totally suck. Time to sign up for the pain train and pay the man.

8 min AMRAP

5 deficit HSPU (3 45’s for men/ 2 45’s for women)

Front rack walking lunch 135/95 for 30 feet

www.stonewaycrossfit.com @StoneWayCF Our affiliate team trains using the @CFInvictis Comp WOD and today was Handstand push-ups with a deficit so we tried it with an 8" inch deficit.
Front Rack Lunge Demo - The athlete begins with the barbell in a front rack position with elbows pointing forward. Generally the grip will be a little wider than shoulder width. The athlete then proceeds to step one leg out and lowers himself until the front knee is at approximately a 90 degree angle and the back knees is on the ground.
