CROSSFIT GAMES UPDATE: MAYHEM FREEDOM ADDS ANOTHER STAR

The CrossFit Open is behind us (more on that coming soon) and now focus shifts back to the sanctioned events. With the fallout of the open qualification in the past, each sanctional carries heavy weight for athletes and teams yet to qualify for a spot at the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games.

One of these teams still striving for Madison is the perennial contender, CrossFit Mayhem Freedom. CMF has been a staple at the games since Rich Froning decided to step away from individual competition, and currently stand as the 2018 Affiliate Cup defending champions.

Mayhem has added another star to their ranks as they gear up to fly to China for the next sanctioned event; former 6th fittest woman on earth, Chyna Cho.

Chyna has been a staple at the CrossFit Games for years now and is a very well rounded competitor. Mayhem recently lost team member Lindy Barber to retirement after last season, and Chyna will be a more than adequate replacement. All eyes will be on Mayhem Freedom in China, as they fight to claim a qualifying spot for the Games this year, and the chance to defend their title.
