#WODoftheWEEK - 18.5

"Bro, your 18.5 time.....woof."

Even your dog is disappointed in your 18.5 time.

Even your dog is disappointed in your 18.5 time.

Workout 18.5 = 12.5 = 11.6

Complete as many reps as possible in 7 minutes of:

3 thrusters
3 chest-to-bar pull-ups
6 thrusters
6 chest-to-bar pull-ups
9 thrusters
9 chest-to-bar pull-ups
12 thrusters
12 chest-to-bar pull-ups
15 thrusters
15 chest-to-bar pull-ups
18 thrusters
18 chest-to-bar pull-ups

This is a timed workout. If you complete the round of 18, go on to 21. If you complete 21, go on to 24, etc.

Not even going to sugarcoat this one, but WOW! What a way to end the 2018 CrossFit Games. And I'll be honest with you, there are two things that I like here, just not paired together as a couplet, in an uphill ladder.

Both pull-ups and thrusters as a couplet in any workout can suck (know what Fran is?) and nearly everyone who first saw this workout when it was released online and had the ability to vote (kinda cool move, CrossFit) they still were faced with shittiness whatever they chose. It was like having the ability to pick your poison, literally, with no other option than to embrace the suck.

Anyway, how'd you do with this one? Did you pace it? Did you go all in? Did the chest-to-bar pull-ups smoke you in the round of 12 like they did to me - or did you hang on and power through into the 21's and 24's here?

I'd love to know what you thought of this workout, just post a comment down below.

Side note, I really love Nicole Carroll sweet talking me through the weekly five-week death series that's known as the CrossFit Open. She's super fit, seems super nice, and has some killer tips each and every week for not getting hurt and to maximize your effort into getting the best score possible.
