+ TRIP SUMMARY
Endurance For Veterans, a non-profit out of Connecticut, USA focused on providing veterans the opportunity to heal and rehabilitate through physical fitness, approached VoyEdge RX to craft a custom trip focused on athletics and history. Having always wanted to create the best trip possible to see the WW2 sites and the best of France, it was our pleasure to put this trip together.
With 15 spots open to civlians, and 15 spsots for veterans, this tour will start off in Paris for two days where you will tour every major site above ground, as well as do a catacombs tour beneath the streets. Add in a couple of major box drop-ins, and you'll have plenty to do in Paris. With all breakfasts and dinners included, you'll be in good hands. You'll have arranged transporation from the airport into the city center where we'll do a walking tour on both days to accomodate the large group.
From there, we'll head to the Palace of Versailles for a quick halfday tour, then will make our way up to the Normandy Region to spend one night, two days touring the major WW2 sites (Omaha Beach, Utah Beach, Point Du Hoc, and more). All museum entrances are paid for and covered by VoyEdge RX.
On our way back from the WW2 sites, we will stop at King Henry's famous wine producing Chateux, to recoup before heading over to Granville, France (known as Monaco of the North). We will drop-in to a CF box there, and spend the night in Granville, before heading to Mont St. Michele (a UNESCO world heritage site and famous castle town) for the next half day, before heading to Parque du Naturel just West of France to spend the next night and hiking around the nature reserve for a relaxing day.
Our last day will bring us back to Paris for the night, where we will have one last group dinner and a free night before getting up to head to the airport or your next destination.

+ WHY YOU SHOULD BOOK
Going to the World War 2 battleground sites of Utah Beach, Point Du Hoc, and Omaha should be on every persons bucket list. With D-Day being one of the largest coordinated assaults ever witnessed on this planet, the sheer emotions stemming from iconic places like this will be felt long after you leave.
That being said, this 8 day trip has much more than battleground sites to see. Paris, AKA, "The City of Lights" has more than enough history to fill an entire library. It's a city everyone should see (especially in the spring) and one that will leave you breathless, in awe, and shocked at how such a magnificient city has transcended into the 21st century.
While this trip kicks off in Paris, the tour will bring you through the Palace of Versailles (home to French Kings of the past), the Normandy Region, Chateux de Balleroy, Granville (known as the 'Monaco of the North') Mont St. Michele (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Parque du Naturel, and more, before heading back to Paris, France for depature.
With plenty of box drop-ins, hikes, exploration, things to do, optional activities, and all breakfasts and dinners included, this is going to be one kickass trip through Northwestern France.
15 spots for veterans, 15 spots for civilians. Don't miss out.

+ FACTS ABOUT PARIS AND THE REGION
Omaha Beach is a landing area in Normandy, northern France, used by Allied forces in the WWII D-Day invasion. Today, the beach is dotted with the remains of German bunkers. On the shore, the stainless-steel sculpture Les Braves commemorates American soldiers. Behind the beach is the Musée Mémorial d'Omaha Beach, also documenting the invasion. Nearby, the Overlord Museum displays WWII tanks, artillery and dioramas.
Two treaties of the 1783 Peace of Paris treaty, by which Britain recognized the independence of the US, were signed at the Palace of Versailles.
You'll go to both of these iconic places, pretty awesome, right?
